This site is dedicated to creating and sharing a visual record that captures the distinctive character of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area and the Pocono Mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania. The neighboring cities of Scranton and Wilkes-Barre are often collectively referred to as EC/DC (as in Electric City/Diamond City). While historically known as the Electric City, Scranton is currently more famous for being home to a small but not insignificant branch of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company.

Snow Mountain on the First Day of Spring

On the first day of spring it looked like Snow Mountain ski area was done for this season as can be seen in this picture from March 21st. However, after yesterday's fresh foot of snow the skiers and snowboarders are back in business!

Top of the Slopes at Snow Mountain

Looking out across South Scranton the top of the slopes at Snow Mountain can be seen. Skiers are dancing in their ski boots tonight with a weather forecast for up to ten inches of the cold white stuff.
